Cooking Pasta
- 1
Boil the Fettuccine
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.
Making the Sauce
- 2
Sauté the Aromatics
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- 3
Add Sun-dried Tomatoes and Anchovies
Stir in the sun-dried tomatoes and anchovy fillets. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, breaking up the anchovies with a spoon until they dissolve into the oil.
- 4
Cook the Shrimp
Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until they turn pink and are cooked through.
- 5
Add Olives and Capers
Stir in the sliced black olives and capers. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat through.
- 6
Season the Sauce
Add red pepper flakes and black pepper to taste. Mix well to combine all ingredients.
Combining
- 7
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to achieve desired consistency.
- 8
Serve
Remove from heat and serve immediately. Top with grated Parmesan cheese.
