Method

Cooking Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Stir occasionally.

  2. 2

    Drain the Pasta

Once cooked, reserve about 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta in a colander.

Preparing Vegetables

  1. 3

    Chop the Vegetables

While the pasta is cooking, wash and chop the bell peppers, zucchini, and carrots into bite-sized pieces. Halve the cherry tomatoes and cut the broccoli into small florets.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Then add all the chopped vegetables and sauté for 5-7 minutes until tender but still crisp.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 5

    Combine Pasta and Vegetables

Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water as needed to help combine the ingredients.

  2. 6

    Season the Pasta Primavera

Sprinkle salt, black pepper, and grated Parmesan cheese over the pasta mixture. Toss again to combine thoroughly.

  3. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat, and add the chopped fresh basil. Toss gently and serve warm. Enjoy your Pasta Primavera!
