Prepare the Bread

Slice the Bread
Using a serrated knife, slice the baguette or Italian bread into 1/2 inch thick slices.

Toast the Bread
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and brush one side with olive oil. Bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy.
Prepare the Topping

Chop the Tomatoes
Dice the fresh tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

Add Basil and Garlic
Chop the fresh basil leaves and mince the garlic cloves. Add both to the bowl with the diced tomatoes.

Season the Mixture
Pour the balsamic vinegar over the tomato mixture. Add salt and black pepper to taste. Mix gently until well combined.
Assemble the Bruschetta

Top the Bread
Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven. Spoon a generous amount of the tomato mixture onto each slice of bread.

Serve the bruschetta immediately while the bread is still warm and crispy. Enjoy!
