Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burger Patties

Divide the ground beef into two equal portions, about 8 ounces each. Form each portion into a loose ball, then place them on a flat surface.

  2. 2

    Smash the Patties

Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Place one beef ball on the skillet, then use a spatula to smash it down into a thin patty. Season with salt and pepper. Repeat with the second ball.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Cook the patties for about 2-3 minutes until a nice crust forms on the bottom. Flip the patties and immediately place two slices of American cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Place each cheesy patty on a burger bun. Top with shaved onion and pickles. Drizzle with Clyde's burger sauce before topping with the other bun.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the CFD Burger immediately with your favorite sides.
