For the French Dip Sandwiches
- 1
Prepare the Beef
Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C). Season the beef roast with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Place in a roasting pan and pour in the beef broth. Cover with foil and roast for about 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily shredded.
- 2
Assemble the Sandwiches
Once the beef is done, slice the submarine rolls open. Layer with shredded beef, gruyere cheese, roasted red peppers, and crispy onions. Return to the oven to melt the cheese, about 5 minutes.
- 3
Prepare the Au Jus
Strain the beef broth from the roasting pan and serve it warm as au jus for dipping.
For the Parmesan Fries
- 4
Cook the Fries
Bake the frozen French fries according to package instructions until golden and crispy.
- 5
Add Parmesan
Once cooked, remove from oven and sprinkle with parmesan cheese and chopped parsley while still hot. Toss to coat.
