Cooking Directions
- 1
Prepare the Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form into two equal-sized patties.
- 2
Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the thick-cut bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- 3
Cook the Patties
In the same skillet, cook the beef patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side. Place a slice of American cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
- 4
Toast the Buns
While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.
- 5
Assemble the Burger
Spread a generous amount of civil sauce on the bottom bun. Place the first beef patty on top, followed by two slices of bacon, then the second patty. Add pickles and onion relish on top before closing with the top bun.
