Method
Brewing the Tea
- 1
Boil the Water
In a kettle, bring 4 cups of filtered water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
- 2
Add the Tea Leaves
Once the water reaches boiling, remove it from heat and add 2 tablespoons of black tea leaves to the water.
- 3
Steep the Tea
Allow the tea leaves to steep in the hot water for 3 to 5 minutes, depending on your preferred strength. The longer you steep, the stronger the flavor.
- 4
Strain the Tea
After steeping, use a fine mesh strainer or tea infuser to remove the tea leaves from the liquid. Discard the leaves.
- 5
Cool and Serve
Let the tea cool down to your desired temperature. You can serve it hot or over ice for a refreshing iced tea.
