Tea Blends
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare Hot Tea
In a teapot, add 1 cup of either green tea leaves, black tea leaves, chamomile flowers, or peppermint leaves. For a floral blend, combine 1 cup of chamomile flowers with 0.5 cup of dried hibiscus flowers.
- 2
Steep Tea
Pour 4 cups of boiling water over the selected tea blend in the teapot. Cover and steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on the type of tea. Green tea should steep for about 3 minutes, while black tea can steep for 4-5 minutes.
- 3
Strain and Sweeten
Once steeped, strain the tea into cups. Add honey to taste for sweetness.
Cold Tea Preparation
- 4
Prepare Cold Brew
For a refreshing cold drink, use 1 cup of the desired tea blend and place it in a pitcher with 4 cups of cold water.
- 5
Steep Cold Brew
Allow the tea to steep in the refrigerator for 6-12 hours. Chamomile and hibiscus blends are particularly refreshing cold.
