Patty Preparation

Cook the Lentils and Quinoa
In a medium saucepan, add 1 cup of green lentils and 3 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 25 minutes until tender. In a separate saucepan, combine 1 cup of red quinoa with 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for about 15 minutes. Once cooked, drain excess water and set aside.

Mash Beans
In a large mixing bowl, mash 1 cup of black beans and 1 cup of kidney beans until mostly smooth, leaving some chunks for texture.

Form Patties
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form each portion into a patty shape.

Cook Patties
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook each patty for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and heated through.
Burger Assembly

Prepare the Buns
Toast the burger buns in a toaster or under a broiler until golden brown.

Assemble the Burger
On the bottom half of each toasted bun, spread a generous amount of cashew ranch dressing. Place a patty on top, followed by a handful of fresh spinach, slices of tomato, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.

Serve the Silo Burger immediately with your favorite side dishes.
