Directions
- 1
Prepare the Oranges
Start by selecting fresh, ripe oranges. Make sure they are firm and heavy for their size, as this indicates juiciness. Wash the oranges thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt or pesticides.
- 2
Cut the Oranges
Using a sharp knife, cut each orange in half horizontally. This will allow for easier juicing and maximize the amount of juice extracted.
- 3
Juicing the Oranges
Using a citrus juicer, press each half of the orange down onto the juicer. Twist and turn the orange to extract as much juice as possible. If you don't have a juicer, you can also use a fork to manually press and twist the orange halves to release the juice.
- 4
Strain the Juice (optional)
If desired, pour the freshly squeezed juice through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a glass to remove any pulp and seeds for a smoother texture.
- 5
Serve
Pour the freshly squeezed orange juice into a glass. Enjoy it chilled or at room temperature. You can also garnish with a slice of orange on the rim of the glass if desired.
