Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 2
Sear the Chicken
In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- 3
Make the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, diced green chiles, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until well combined.
- 4
Stuff the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it cool slightly. Cut a pocket in each chicken breast and stuff with the cream cheese mixture.
- 5
Bake the Chicken
Return the stuffed chicken breasts to the skillet and sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly.
- 6
Garnish and Serve
Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
