COFFEE & TEA

Method

COFFEE & TEA

  1. 1

    Set up and pre-warm

Arrange hot water, kettle, teapots or serving pitchers, cups, and spoons. Rinse teapots with hot water to pre-warm.

  2. 2

    Boil water

Fill a kettle with 1200 ml filtered water and bring to a rolling boil. Have extra hot water available for topping as needed.

  3. 3

    Brew Black Tea

Place 4 black tea bags into a teapot. For each cup of black tea, pour 240 ml of just-boiled water over a bag (total 960 ml for 4 cups). Steep for 3-5 minutes, then remove bags. Keep black tea warm.

  4. 4

    Brew Green Tea

Place 4 green tea bags into a separate teapot. Pour water at about 80-85°C (176-185°F). Steep 2-3 minutes, then remove.

  5. 5

    Brew Herbal Tea

Place 4 herbal tea bags into another teapot. Pour water at near-boiling temperature. Steep 5-7 minutes, then remove.

  6. 6

    Sweeten and customize

Offer sugar (4 tsp total) and honey (4 tsp total) in a small bowl so guests can sweeten to taste.

  7. 7

    Milk and creaminess

Provide milk or dairy alternative in a separate pitcher for guests who want a splash of cream.

  8. 8

    Garnishes and aroma

Offer lemon slices and fresh mint sprigs for bright notes; optionally include a cinnamon stick for spice.

  9. 9

    Final assembly and service

Pour brewed tea into warmed cups. Allow guests to add sugar, honey, milk, lemon, mint, or cinnamon as desired. Serve with spoons and napkins.
