Cook the Asparagus
In a pot of boiling salted water, blanch the asparagus for about 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.

Make Potatoes Au Gratin
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the potatoes thinly. In a saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and add minced garlic. Add the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Layer the sliced potatoes in a baking dish, pour the cream mixture over them, and top with shredded cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Assemble Oscar Style
Top each filet with a generous portion of crab meat and drizzle with hollandaise sauce. Serve alongside the potatoes au gratin and blanched asparagus.
