Crab Cakes

Method

Preparation of Crab Cakes

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, egg, bread crumbs, parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are well incorporated.

  2. 2

    Form Cakes

Form the mixture into patties, about 3 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. 3

    Chill

Cover the patties with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape.

  4. 4

    Cook

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the crab cakes in batches, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.

  5. 5

    Drain

Remove the crab cakes from the skillet and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
