Prepare the Bread Pudding
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the day-old bread into cubes and place it in a large mixing bowl.

Combine Mixtures
Pour the custard mixture over the bread cubes and gently fold to combine. If using raisins or chocolate chips, fold them in at this stage.

Bake the Pudding
Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until set and golden on top.

Prepare the Bourbon Sauce
While the pudding is baking, in a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 cup of butter, and 1/2 cup of Heaven's Door Bourbon. Heat over medium until the sugar dissolves and the sauce thickens slightly.

Serve
Remove the bread pudding from the oven and let it cool slightly. Serve warm, drizzled with the bourbon sauce.
