Ahi Tuna Ingredients

Method

Preparation Directions

  1. 1

    Marinate the Tuna

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, and lime juice. Place the Ahi tuna steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Cooking Surface

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add a little sesame oil to prevent sticking.

  3. 3

    Cook the Tuna

Remove the tuna from the marinade and season with salt and pepper. Grill or sear the tuna steaks for about 1-2 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer if you prefer them cooked through.

  4. 4

    Garnish and Serve

Once cooked to your liking, remove the tuna from the heat. Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top. Serve immediately with extra lime wedges on the side.
