Broccoli di Cicco
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Broccoli
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Trim the broccoli di cicco and cut it into florets. Blanch the florets in the boiling water for about 2-3 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and immediately plunge them into ice water to stop the cooking process. Drain again and set aside.
- 2
Make the Vinaigrette
In a small bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- 3
Combine and Serve
In a serving bowl, combine the blanched broccoli di cicco with the garlic-lemon vinaigrette. Toss to coat evenly. Serve warm or at room temperature.
