Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Black Tea

In a large pot, bring 8 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the black tea bags. Steep for 5-7 minutes based on your preferred strength.

  2. 2

    Combine Blackberries and Sugar

In a separate bowl, mash the blackberries with the sugar until well combined. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to release juices.

  3. 3

Mix the Tea and Blackberry Mixture

Once the tea has steeped, remove the tea bags and add the blackberry-sugar mixture to the tea. Stir well to combine.

  4. 4

    Add Lemon Juice

Stir in the lemon juice to the mixture. Adjust sweetness if needed.

  5. 5

    Chill the Tea

Add the remaining 8 cups of cold water to the mixture and stir. Allow the iced tea to chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the chilled blackberry iced tea over ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
