Burger Patty Preparation
- 1
Make the Burger Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.
Mushroom Topping Preparation
- 2
Sauté the Mushrooms
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the shiitake, cremini, and oyster mushrooms to the skillet. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms are tender and browned. Stir in the fresh thyme and cook for an additional minute. Remove from heat and set aside.

Build the Burger
Toast the brioche buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster. On the bottom half of each bun, spread a generous layer of truffle mayo, followed by a lettuce leaf. Place the cooked burger patty with melted gruyere on top, followed by a scoop of the sautéed mushrooms. Top with the other half of the brioche bun and serve immediately.
