Method

Prepare Ingredients

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fruit Topping

Dice the avocado and chop the fresh pineapple into small cubes. Slice the strawberries. Set aside in a bowl.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the smokehouse bacon until crispy. Remove from skillet and place on paper towels to drain the excess grease.

  3. 3

    Season the Beef

In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix until evenly incorporated.

Cook the Burgers

  1. 4

    Form the Patties

Divide the seasoned ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick.

  2. 5

    Grill the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them.

  3. 6

    Add Cheese

Immediately after flipping, place a slice of Tillamook cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patty is cooked to your preferred doneness.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 7

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns and toast them on the grill or in the oven until golden brown.

  2. 8

    Build the Burger

Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place a lettuce leaf on top, followed by the cheeseburger patty, crispy bacon, and the prepared fruit topping. Finish with the top half of the bun.
