Bowl Components

Method

Prepare the Shrimp

  1. 1

    Marinate the Shrimp

In a bowl, combine the shrimp, olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to coat the shrimp evenly. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Shrimp

Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.

Make the Charred Corn Salsa

  1. 3

    Char the Corn

In a dry skillet over high heat, add the corn kernels. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the corn is slightly charred. Remove from heat and let it cool.

  2. 4

    Combine Salsa Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the charred corn, diced red bell pepper, chopped red onion, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and set aside.

Assemble the Bowls

  1. 5

    Layer the Ingredients

In serving bowls, start with a base of cooked rice. Top with the cooked shrimp and a generous amount of charred corn salsa.

  2. 6

    Add Final Touches

Garnish with sliced avocado and serve with lime wedges on the side for an extra zing.
