Burger Patties

Cheeseburger Assembly

Method

Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burger Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each into a small patty, about 1/2 inch thick.

Fries

  1. 3

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into fry shapes. Soak them in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  2. 4

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C). Drain the soaked potatoes and dry them with a towel. Carefully add fries to the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 5

    Season the Fries

Remove fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt while still hot.

Cheeseburger Assembly

  1. 6

    Cook the Patties

In a skillet or on a grill, cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

  2. 7

    Assemble the Cheeseburgers

On the bottom half of each mini burger bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, and condiments like ketchup and mustard as desired. Top with the other half of the bun.
