Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Romaine

Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water. Shake off excess water and chop the leaves into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Grape Tomatoes

Wash the grape tomatoes and cut them in half. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Cucumbers

Peel the cucumber, if desired, and slice it into thin rounds. If the cucumber is large, you may want to halve the slices for easier eating.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Feta Cheese

Crumble the feta cheese into small pieces. This will allow it to distribute evenly throughout the salad.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Kalamata Olives

Pit the kalamata olives if they are not already pitted, and slice them in half or leave them whole, depending on your preference.

  6. 6

    Prepare the Pepperoncini

Drain the pepperoncini if they are in brine and slice them into rings or keep them whole for garnish.

  7. 7

    Prepare the Bermuda Onion

Peel the Bermuda onion and slice it thinly. If the flavor is too strong, you can soak the slices in cold water for a few minutes to mellow the taste.

  8. 8

    Assemble the Salad

In a large salad bowl, combine the chopped romaine, halved grape tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, crumbled feta cheese, halved kalamata olives, sliced pepperoncini, and thinly sliced Bermuda onion.

  9. 9

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle the herb vinaigrette over the salad ingredients. Toss gently to combine, ensuring all ingredients are coated with the dressing.

  10. 10

    Serve

Serve the salad immediately as a refreshing side dish or light meal. Enjoy your Gus's Greek Salad!
