Burger Patty

Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Beef

In a mixing bowl, combine 1 pound of grass fed ground beef with 1 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of black pepper, and 1 tsp of garlic powder. Use your hands to gently mix the ingredients together, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the formed patties on the grill or in the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the brioche buns in half and lightly toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Slice the Avocado

Cut the ripe avocado in half, remove the pit, and slice the flesh into thin slices.

  3. 7

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted brioche bun, layer a handful of leafy lettuce, followed by the cooked burger patty, a generous amount of baby arugula, slices of avocado, and a drizzle of verde sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.
