Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well mixed.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.

  4. 4

    Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

Baking

  1. 5

    Prepare the Baking Pan

Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

  2. 6

    Bake the Mixture

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  3. 7

    Cool the Cake

Once baked, remove the pan from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serving

  1. 8

    Prepare the Toppings

While the cake is cooling, wash the fresh berries and mint leaves.

  2. 9

    Serve the Cake

Cut the cooled cake into squares. Serve each piece topped with fresh berries, a dollop of whipped cream, and a sprinkle of mint leaves.
