Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- 2
Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- 3
Mix Sugars
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, 2 cups of granulated sugar, and 1 cup of brown sugar. Stir until well combined.
- 4
Add Eggs and Vanilla
Add 4 large eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in 2 tsp of vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- 5
Combine Dry Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 1 tsp of salt.
- 6
Mix Dry and Wet
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 7
Add Chocolate Chips
Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips into the brownie batter.

Bake the Brownies
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 9
Cool the Brownies
Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
