Calamari

Sweet Pepper Mix

Method

Calamari Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Breading

In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Calamari

Dip the calamari rings into the batter mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a deep skillet or pot, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 4

    Fry the Calamari

Carefully add the coated calamari rings to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Sweet Pepper Mix Preparation

  1. 5

    Chop the Peppers

Remove the seeds and membranes from the bell peppers, then chop them into thin strips.

  2. 6

    Sauté the Peppers

In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped peppers and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender. Season with salt to taste.

Cocktail Sauce Preparation

  1. 7

    Mix the Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and salt. Mix until well combined.
