Prepare the Tomatoes
Dice the ripe tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

Add Seasonings
Chop the fresh basil leaves and add them to the bowl with tomatoes. Add balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper to taste. Gently mix to combine.

Prepare the Mozzarella
Slice the fresh mozzarella cheese into thin rounds.
Toast the Bread

Slice the Baguette
Cut the French baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices.

Toast the Bread
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and place the slices on a baking sheet. Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
Assemble the Bruschetta

Spread the Topping
Remove the toasted bread from the oven. While still warm, rub the whole garlic clove on one side of each slice to impart flavor.

Add Tomato Mixture
Spoon a generous amount of the tomato and basil mixture onto each slice of toasted bread, topped with a slice of mozzarella cheese.

Serve Immediately
Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter and serve immediately while the bread is warm and crispy.
