Praline Sauce
Method
Bread Pudding
- 1
Prepare the Bread
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the stale bread into cubes and place them in a large mixing bowl.
- 2
Make the Custard Mixture
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- 3
Combine Bread and Custard
Pour the custard mixture over the cubed bread, making sure all pieces are soaked. Allow it to sit for 15-20 minutes.
- 4
Bake the Pudding
Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted comes out clean.
House Whipped Cream
- 5
Whip the Cream
In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Using an electric mixer, whip until soft peaks form.
Praline Sauce
- 6
Prepare the Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, butter, and heavy cream. Stir continuously until the mixture comes to a boil.
- 7
Add Pecans
Once boiling, reduce the heat and add chopped pecans and vanilla extract. Stir for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
