Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and allow them to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Heat the Pan

In a large cast-iron skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  3. 3

    Sear the Steaks

Add the ribeye steaks to the skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes on one side until a nice crust forms. Flip the steaks and sear the other side for another 4-5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add Butter and Aromatics

Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter, garlic cloves, and rosemary to the pan. Use a spoon to baste the steaks with the melted butter for an additional 2-3 minutes.

  5. 5

    Check Doneness

Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature; aim for 130°F for medium-rare. Cook longer if desired.

  6. 6

    Rest and Serve

Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve with your favorite sides.
