Cocktail Ingredients

Method

Cocktail Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Glass

Start by rimming your cocktail glass with Tajín seasoning. To do this, moisten the rim of the glass with a lime wedge and then dip it into a plate of Tajín seasoning to coat the rim evenly.

  2. 2

    Muddle the Basil

In a cocktail shaker, add the fresh basil leaves. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently crush the basil leaves to release their essential oils. Be careful not to shred them too much; you want to infuse the flavor without creating a pulp.

  3. 3

    Combine the Ingredients

Add the Prairie Organic Vodka, Habanero and Mango Infused Tequila, House-Made Lime Cordial, and House Sweet & Sour into the shaker with the muddled basil.

  4. 4

    Shake the Cocktail

Fill the shaker with ice and secure the lid. Shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled.

  5. 5

    Strain and Serve

Using a strainer, pour the mixture into the prepared cocktail glass over fresh ice if desired. Make sure to strain out any basil bits.

  6. 6

    Garnish

Garnish with a basil leaf or a slice of lime on the rim for an extra touch of flavor and presentation.
