Preparing the Burger Patties

Mixing the Ingredients
In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Forming the Patties
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, approximately ¾ inch thick.
Cooking the Bacon

Frying the Bacon
In a frying pan over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.
Grilling the Burger Patties

Preheating the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

Cooking the Patties
Place the burger patties on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them over.

Adding Cheese
After flipping, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the meat is cooked to your desired doneness.
Assembling the Burgers

If desired, toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until lightly golden.
