Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, combine the milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and eggs. Whisk until the mixture is smooth.

Baking

  1. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix.

  2. 5

    Prepare Baking Dish

Grease a 9-inch round baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

  3. 6

    Add Batter

Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking dish. Spread it evenly across the bottom.

  4. 7

    Add Filling

In a small bowl, toss the fresh berries with powdered sugar. Spread the berry mixture over the batter in the baking dish.

  5. 8

    Top with Remaining Batter

Pour the remaining batter over the berries, smoothing it out gently.

  6. 9

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Serving

  1. 10

    Cool and Serve

Allow the Vaso to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm topped with whipped cream and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
