Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and let them drain on paper towels.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Avocado and Tomato

Slice the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh. Slice the avocado into thin pieces. Then, slice the tomato into even rounds.

Assembling the Melt

  1. 3

    Spread Mayonnaise

Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.

  2. 4

    Layer Ingredients

On the non-mayo side of two slices, layer the turkey breast evenly, followed by the crispy bacon, avocado slices, tomato slices, and top with Monterey Jack cheese slices.

  3. 5

    Finish with Bread

Place the other two slices of bread on top, mayo side up, to complete the sandwich.

Grilling the Sandwich

  1. 6

    Grill the Sandwich

In the same skillet used for the bacon, place the assembled sandwiches over medium-low heat. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted.
