Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Slice the bell pepper and onion into thin strips. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Steak

Thinly slice the beef steak against the grain for tenderness. Season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced bell pepper and onion. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until soft and slightly caramelized. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  2. 4

    Cook the Steak

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Increase the heat to medium-high and add the seasoned steak slices. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through.

  3. 5

    Combine Ingredients

Return the sautéed bell pepper and onion to the skillet with the cooked steak. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat through.

  4. 6

    Melt the Cheese

Sprinkle the shredded jack cheese over the steak and vegetable mixture. Cover the skillet with a lid and let it sit for about 2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Assemble the Sandwich

Slice the ciabatta bread in half. On the bottom half, layer the cheesy steak and vegetable mixture. Add sliced avocado on top and cover with the top half of the ciabatta.

  2. 8

    Serve

Cut the sandwich in half if desired and serve immediately while hot.
