Oreo Cookie Base

Chocolate Coating

Method

  1. 1

In a food processor, crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. Transfer the crumbs to a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter until fully liquid. Allow it to cool slightly.

  3. 3

Pour the melted butter into the bowl of crushed Oreo cookies. Mix until the crumbs are well-coated and the mixture resembles wet sand.

  4. 4

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch round springform pan to create an even layer. Refrigerate while you prepare the filling.

Cream Filling

  1. 5

    Mix Cream Filling

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and powdered sugar. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.

  2. 6

    Add Vanilla and Heavy Cream

Add the vanilla extract and heavy cream to the mixture. Continue beating until the mixture becomes light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

  3. 7

    Spread Filling

Remove the Oreo crust from the refrigerator and spread the cream filling evenly over the cookie base. Smooth the top with a spatula.

  4. 8

    Chill the Filling

Cover the springform pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until the filling is set.

Chocolate Coating

  1. 9

    Melt Chocolate

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.

  2. 10

    Coat the Oreos

Remove the chilled Oreo and cream filling from the refrigerator. Carefully remove the sides of the springform pan.

  3. 11

    Drizzle the Chocolate

Using a spoon, drizzle the melted chocolate over the top of the Oreo dessert, allowing it to drip down the sides.

  4. 12

    Set the Chocolate

Place the dessert back in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.
