Burger Components

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

In a mixing bowl, take the ground beef and form two equal patties. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. 3

    Slice the Vegetables

Slice the avocado, tomato, and onion into thin slices. Set aside.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Lettuce

Wash and dry the lettuce leaves. Tear them into manageable pieces for the burger.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Pickles

Slice the pickles if they are whole or set them aside if they are already sliced.

Cooking

  1. 6

    Cook the Burgers

In the same skillet used for the bacon, cook the beef patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of jack cheese on each patty and cover to melt.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each burger bun, layer the lettuce, cooked beef patty with melted cheese, bacon, avocado slices, tomato slices, onion slices, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
