Sear the Chicken
In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken thighs and sear until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove chicken and set aside.

Add Liquids and Seasoning
Pour in the diced tomatoes (with juices), chicken broth, and red wine. Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

Combine and Simmer
Return the seared chicken to the skillet. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 30-40 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and tender.

Once cooked, stir in the chopped fresh basil. Adjust seasoning if necessary and serve hot.
