Creole Mustard Sauce

Method

Chicken Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Chicken

Pat the double breast of chicken dry with paper towels. Rub the Cajun spice blend evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Chicken

Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned chicken breasts and sauté for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.

  3. 3

    Finish in the Oven

Transfer the skillet to a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

Creole Mustard Sauce Preparation

  1. 4

    Make the Sauce

In a medium bowl, whisk together the Creole mustard, honey, heavy cream, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  2. 5

    Serve

Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the oven. Pour the Creole mustard sauce over the chicken before serving. Enjoy your Spicy Chicken Louisiana!
