Directions
- 1
Prepare the Ingredients
Gather all the ingredients and equipment needed for the Pisco Sour. You will need a cocktail shaker, a jigger for measuring, and a strainer.
- 2
Combine Ingredients
In the cocktail shaker, add 2 oz of Pisco, 1 oz of fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz of simple syrup, and 1 egg white.
- 3
Dry Shake
Seal the shaker and shake vigorously without ice for about 15 seconds. This helps to emulsify the egg white and create a frothy texture.
- 4
Shake with Ice
Add 1 cup of ice cubes to the shaker. Seal again and shake vigorously for another 15-20 seconds until well chilled.
- 5
Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into a chilled coupe glass or cocktail glass. The frothy head from the egg white should form a nice layer on top.
- 6
Add Bitters
Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters on top of the froth. You can use a toothpick to create a design if desired.
- 7
Garnish
Garnish with a lime wheel or twist on the rim of the glass for an elegant presentation.
