Fettucini Noodles
Method
Preparation
- 1
Make the Fettuccini Noodles
In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the eggs. Gradually mix the flour into the eggs until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth. Wrap in plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- 2
Roll Out the Dough
After resting, divide the dough into four pieces. Roll out each piece into thin sheets using a pasta machine or a rolling pin. Cut into fettuccini strips.
- 3
Cook the Fettuccini
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccini for 2-3 minutes until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 4
Prepare the Alfredo Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- 5
Combine and Serve
Add the cooked fettuccini to the sauce and toss to coat. Serve immediately with additional parmesan cheese, if desired.
