Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Meat Sauce

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent. Add ground beef, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat.

  2. 2

    Add Tomato Sauce

Stir in the tomato sauce, salt, black pepper, oregano, and basil. Simmer for 15 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Cream Sauce

In a bowl, mix cream cheese with a splash of water to make it spreadable. Set aside.

  4. 4

    Cook Lasagna Noodles

Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water to prevent sticking.

  5. 5

    Layer the Lasagna

In a baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce, followed by a layer of noodles, a layer of cream sauce, and a layer of mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with mozzarella and a sprinkle of Parmesan on top.

  6. 6

    Bake

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.

  7. 7

    Cool and Serve

Let the lasagna cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
