Directions

1

Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the Yukon Gold potatoes and cut them into evenly sized chunks. Place the potatoes in a large pot and cover them with cold water. Add a teaspoon of salt to the water.

2

Cook the Potatoes

Bring the pot to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium and let the potatoes simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are fork-tender.

3

Drain and Steam

Drain the potatoes in a colander and let them sit for a few minutes to allow excess moisture to evaporate.

4

Mash the Potatoes

Return the potatoes to the pot. Using a potato ricer or a traditional masher, mash the potatoes until they are smooth and creamy.

5

Add Butter and Cream

In a saucepan, gently heat the unsalted butter and heavy cream until the butter is melted. Pour this mixture into the mashed potatoes and stir until fully incorporated.

6

Season to Taste

Add salt and white pepper to taste. Mix well to ensure even seasoning.

7

Serve

Transfer the pomme puree to a serving dish and serve warm as a delicious side dish.
