Method

Prime Rib Preparation

1

Prepare the Prime Rib

Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and chopped rosemary. Rub the prime rib with olive oil and then coat it with the seasoning mixture.

2

Roasting the Prime Rib

Place the prime rib in a roasting pan, bone side down. Roast for 15 minutes at 450°F, then reduce the temperature to 325°F (160°C) and continue roasting until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare, about 1.5 to 2 hours.

3

Resting the Meat

Remove from the oven and let the prime rib rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing.

Creamed Horseradish

4

Mix the Ingredients

In a bowl, combine prepared horseradish, sour cream, salt, and lemon juice. Mix well and refrigerate until serving.

Beef Au Jus

5

Prepare the Au Jus

In a saucepan, combine beef broth, red wine, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Simmer over medium heat for about 20 minutes, until reduced slightly.

Chandlers Mashed Potatoes

6

Cook the Potatoes

Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.

7

Mash the Potatoes

Add butter, heavy cream, salt, and pepper to the potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Broiled Tomato Provencal

8

Prepare the Tomatoes

Preheat the broiler. In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, olive oil, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Top each tomato half with the breadcrumb mixture.

9

Broil the Tomatoes

Place tomatoes under the broiler for 5-7 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
