Cobbler Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, blackberries, chopped rhubarb, and sliced strawberries. Add sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and dried lavender. Toss gently to combine and set aside to macerate for about 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 3

    Prepare the Crust

In a separate bowl, mix together 1 cup of flour, 1/2 cup of oats, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 cup of melted butter, and a pinch of salt until crumbly. Spread the mixture over the berry filling.

  4. 4

    Bake the Cobbler

Pour the berry filling into a greased baking dish and spread the crumble mixture evenly over the top. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream if desired.
