Slider Ingredients

Caramelized Onions

Method

Preparation of Ingredients

  1. 1

    Caramelize the Onions

Slice the onions thinly. In a skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add the onions and a pinch of salt. Cook slowly until caramelized, about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  2. 2

    Make the Pickles

In a bowl, combine sliced cucumbers, white vinegar, sugar, salt, and dill. Mix well and let sit for at least 30 minutes to pickle.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Aioli

In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and lemon juice until well combined. Set aside.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Potatoes

Cut the potatoes into thin strips for fries. Rinse in cold water and pat dry.

Cooking the Sliders

  1. 5

    Cook the Patties

Form the Wagyu beef into three equal patties. Season with salt and black pepper. Grill or pan-fry over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adding cheese on top for the last minute if desired.

  2. 6

    Fry the Potatoes

In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potato strips in batches until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels, then season with salt.

  3. 7

    Assemble the Sliders

Toast the slider buns lightly. Spread Dijon aioli on each bun, add the Wagyu patty, top with caramelized onions and house pickles. Serve with pommes frites on the side.
