Method

Preparation of Meat

  1. 1

    Cook Ground Beef

In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat.

  2. 2

    Prepare Shredded Chicken

If using pre-cooked shredded chicken, simply set it aside. If using raw chicken, cook it in a skillet or boil until fully cooked, then shred.

Bean Dip Preparation

  1. 3

    Mix Ingredients for Bean Dip

In a medium bowl, combine the refried beans, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Mix until well combined.

  2. 4

    Heat Bean Dip

Transfer the bean dip mixture to a saucepan over low heat. Stir frequently until heated through, about 5 minutes.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Layer Ingredients

In a serving dish, start by spreading the heated bean dip evenly on the bottom. Next, layer the cooked ground beef over the bean dip. Then, add the shredded chicken on top.

  2. 6

    Add Queso

Finally, pour the queso cheese evenly over the assembled layers. You can heat the queso in the microwave for about 30 seconds if you prefer it warm.
