Method

Prepare the Protein

  1. 1

    Ground Beef Option

In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat and season with salt and pepper. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Shredded Chicken Option

If using shredded chicken, simply heat the chicken in a pan over medium heat until warmed through. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Bean Option

For the bean option, drain and rinse the black beans. Heat in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through, adding salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.

Prepare the Tostada Base

  1. 4

In a deep skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

  2. 5

Fry each corn tortilla one at a time in the hot oil until golden and crispy, about 1-2 minutes per side.

  3. 6

Remove the tortillas and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Set aside.

Make the Guacamole Salad

  1. 7

In a bowl, scoop out the ripe avocados and mash them with a fork.

  2. 8

Add lime juice, diced cherry tomatoes, finely chopped red onion, and chopped cilantro. Mix well.

  3. 9

Season the guacamole with salt and black pepper to taste. Adjust lime juice if needed.

Assemble the Tostada Quesofire

  1. 10

On each crispy tortilla, layer the choice of protein (ground beef, shredded chicken, or black beans).

  2. 11

Top with a generous amount of guacamole salad.

  3. 12

Add optional toppings like sour cream, shredded cheese, and jalapeños as desired.
