Method

Cocktail Preparation

  1. 1

    Muddle Mint

In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, add the fresh mint leaves and lime juice. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently crush the mint leaves to release their essential oils. Be careful not to shred the leaves too much.

  2. 2

    Add Rum and Syrup

Pour in the white rum and simple syrup into the muddled mint and lime mixture. Stir gently to combine the ingredients.

  3. 3

    Add Ice

Fill the glass or shaker with ice cubes, about 1 cup, to chill the mixture.

  4. 4

    Mix with Club Soda

Top off the mixture with club soda (4 oz) and gently stir to combine. This will give your mojito its refreshing fizz.

Garnishing

  1. 5

    Garnish the Drink

Garnish your mojito with a lime wedge and a sprig of mint. This adds a nice visual appeal and enhances the aroma.
