Chips
- 1
Prepare the Tortillas
Stack the corn tortillas and cut them into wedges. Each tortilla can be cut into 6-8 triangles, depending on your preference.
- 2
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or deep pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking.
- 3
Fry the Chips
Carefully add the tortilla wedges in batches to the hot oil. Fry them for about 2-3 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- 4
Drain and Season
Using a slotted spoon, remove the chips from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. While they are still hot, sprinkle salt over the chips to taste.
